Posted by Staci in : General Ramblings , 1 comment so farWell I interviewed for the fraud position today. One drawback is if I get the job, I can’t go on my vacation in March. I will be in training for the job at that point and they don’t let you go on vacations until that training is over. *sigh* So this could be a problem. I really want to go, but I might have to put the trip off until this summer and then either go by myself, or just take some friends if my family can’t go with me. Also they asked if I could go full time for the job. I told them I could be flexible and most likely go full time but it would depend on the hours. The hours they were thinking of are mon-thurs 4pm to 130am and then on fri from 4pm until 8pm. So 40 hours split up in an odd pattern. It is not a horrible change, but I was hopping to keep my mon, tues, thurs, fri 4×9 that I have now. Well if they offer me the job, I will just deal with the changes.

On Saturday I am going to my sister’s house to finish getting every thing working on their computer. On Sunday afternoon a group of friends are coming over to help get the rest of Cindi’s stuff moved from my house to hers. So between all that I might get the chance to sit in on a card game or two.Â
I posted for a new job at work. It is a fraud investigation postion. Late shift and almost no phone work at all. It is the same pay, but it will get me out of the high stress position I am in and help me to network for future promotions. If I get the shift the hours will be from approx 4pm to 130am 4 days a week to keep with my part time shift of 36 hours. Those hours will be great for me. I can still play cards on the weekends, will still have Wednesday’s off and I get to continue to be a night owl. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I get the job.Â

Posted by Staci in : General Ramblings , add a commentSo last Saturday I woke up feeling sick. I spent all day Saturday and most of Sunday at home trying to get better in time for the RCPM concert on New Years Eve. My friend Michelle was sick as well, but we already had the ticket, and her husband was going to be our driver so we decided to drug ourselves up with cold medicine and go any way. The concert was great. My throat was so sore I could not really sing along, and I felt way to horrible to really dance, but it was still a fun time. Tons of energy and the band really interacts with the crowd.Â
I paid for it the next day though. I made it to work, but my voice was pretty much gone and I felt so much worse then I did on Sunday. I managed to get through my 8 hour shift, but then I ended up calling in sick to work on Tuesday because I had no voice at all. I never work Wednesdays, so I did not have to worry about that. I drug myself into work on Thursday and still felt like garbage. I made a dr appointment for Friday (today) since I was having problems breathing and being asthmatic I knew I could either have broncites, pneumonia, or an upper resportory infection. ( I know I spelled most of those words wrong)
Sure enough I have an infection. I am on antibotics for the next few days. So I missed another day of work between the dr appt and waiting 2 hours for my meds to be filled at the pharmacy.Â
I want to try to play cards this weekend, but I don’t know if I can. If the smoke in the bars gives me trouble due to the infection I will have to leave and not finish.
