Posted by Staci in : General Ramblings , add a commentWell it is Christmas day and once again I am working. Only a 4 hour shift though, and it is a late shift, so I got to spend the morning with my family. It was a good holiday. I got the dartboard and back stop I wanted, a $100 gift card to starbucks, $100 at gamestop, and a bracelet that matches a necklace I bought last month. My nephew got spoiled with an xbox 360, a psp, and pretty much every other toy he asked for. My step-nephew made out pretty well too.

Posted by Staci in : General Ramblings, Vacations , add a commentWell I am back from my shopping week at the resort. It was a nice relaxing weekend. I got a lot of shopping accomplished for people. I still little bit left to do, but not very much. Most of what I need now is small stuff and stuff I ordered online that I am waiting for. I don’t work until late on Monday because I still had a few hours of vacation time left. So I am sitting at home playing online and trying to get rid of the headache I have.Â

Posted by Staci in : General Ramblings, Site Updates , add a commentOk I have added some pictures from my girls weekend to the Flickr album that is linked here. Feel free to check them out. Not all of them our up there, but quite a few are. I know I look horrible in a few of them, but I was told I was not allowed to creatively edit myself out of them. There are pictures from Erika’s camera that I was told not to look at, so I skipped them and they are not currently online. Once I have been told it is ok for me to look, I will edit and put them up as well. Also the hot tub pictures are not on here yet either. I should have them up on here later on if everyone agrees. Enjoy.
December Girls Weekend December 4, 2006
Posted by Staci in : General Ramblings , add a commentSo after the TOC my friends came over to my resort to drink and party. We all had a good time. We played roulette and hold’em. By the end of the night my back was hurting from leaning over tables playing cards all day/night. We watched a few movie, danced, did shots and enjoyed the hot tub. I have pictures that I plan to put up in the next few days.Â
Event Poker 7th TOC December 4, 2006
Posted by Staci in : General Ramblings, It's in the Cards , add a commentWell the TOC was on Saturday. It was the 3rd one I have played in. The first two I didn’t do very well in but I was great in this one. More then 100 players qualified and they had 12 tables running. So about 96 players. I actually made it to the final table. Not only that, but I took 3rd. I was so thrilled. About midway in the turny I was down to my last 1500 so I went all in. I managed to split the pot and hold on for a few more hands. I did a few more all in moved and ended up being pretty healthy over all. I went to the final table with about 30k in chips. I was about in the middle of the money so it was not a bad position to be in. I had pocket aces one hand and almost doubled up and then a few hands later I had pocket jacks and took a small pot. From there I still got a few decent hands, but nothing great. I tried to play it the best I could though and I had played with the people at the table before so I had a decent idea of what types of hands they would play. I ended up going out with a pretty good hand. I was all in with a good hand, but lost. I had a lot of people pulling for me to win the whole thing. They were all debating on who I was going to take on the laughlin trip with me when I won. *grin* While I would have prefered 1st place, I am really happy with how well I did. I was shocked that I made it that far, and I am really proud of myself for how well I manged to do. Now to keep getting better and win the whole thing next time around.

Posted by Staci in : General Ramblings, It's in the Cards, Vacations , add a commentWell today is the first day of my vacation. I am not really going any where, but I am staying at a hotel in Scottsdale to get my Christmas shopping done, and relax before the holiday rush. It is a really nice resort, and I am throwing a girls weekend here Sat night. It should be a blast. I have already premade the long island ice teas.Â
 I am playing in the TOC for event poker tomorrow. After that the girls weekend starts. It should be a nice 10 day vacation. I am giong to do my shopping during the begining of the week and spend the rest of the time relaxing and just hanging out. I have my video games, my laptop, my crochet project, and tons of books to read. It should be wonderful.
