Ok once again I have changed the theme.  I really like how easy this one is to modify.  I think I will keep using it until I get a custom one made.  And consdering my budget that could be awhile. 

 I have deleted the comments that had my poems in them.  With this theme you can add comments to the pages so I have left that option available. 

Violent Hobbies July 6, 2006

So yesterday (Wednesday)  I went to induldge in one of my more violent hobbies.  I spent the day at the range target shooting.  I had a blast.  It has been way too long since I went shooting so I figured I needed to practice.  I did well for not having fired a gun in more then 2 years. 

I wore one of my t-shirts from Boondock Saints that fit the mood of the day.  lol I got a few comments from the guys at the range about the fact that the shirt fit in with the activity.  I was surprised that one of the clerks there actually reconized the movie.  Not a lot of people do.  Which is not really surprising, but it is their loss.  The movie is excellent.  Maybe one day I will make a post dedicated just to talking about it.

And I am spending my countries Independence day sitting at work getting paid to surf the net.  My mother, sister, and nephew went to her BF’s house for a family BBQ and swimming while I am bored out of my mind here at work.  I should have brought my nephew’s portable dvd player with me and watched “The Boondock Saints” for the millionth time.  Instead I am playing neopets, listening to my ipod, sending text messages to friends to wish them a safe holiday, and debating if I can afford the custom theme prices that were quoted to me.  Basically I am doing everything but working.

Many years ago I wrote a few poems.  Actually I wrote a lot of poems.  Most of them I never thught were good enough to put online, but others I really liked and published on my old webpage.   I am now adding them to this site one at a time.  While you can not comment on the pages that the poems are on, I will post them as individual blog entries as well so you can comment there if you wish.

I hope you enjoy them.

Another Vegas Vacation July 2, 2006

Well it is all set as of Friday.  My mother, my sister, my nephew, Eric, Chuck and I will all be going to Vegas together in Aug.  It will be a blast.  The only delay in making the plans was to see if Eric and I could get the time off work because we work at the same place.  My sister Cindi and I play poker several times a week with Eric and Chuck.  I have known Eric for about a year and a half now. We are co-workers and friends.  Chuck is Eric’s best friend.  Eric and I went to play poker together after a work dinner one Saturday night and we had a blast so the following weekend he brought Chuck with him and I brought Cindi with me.  That was way back in March and we have all been hanging out together ever since.  There is a 5th musketteer in our group and that is Eric’s friend Matt, but he can’t make the trip.

 We are all looking forward to going to a club or two, gambling for real money, and tearing up sin city.  *grin*  No tattoos this time though.  Way too expensive, but we will take plenty of pictures that I will post on here to share. 

Wednesday Night July 2, 2006

So on Wednesday night we went out to dinner with an old friend of my dads.   Kevin has known my family since I was 12 or so.  He is a super nice guy and promised my dad that he would look out for us.  The reason for the dinner was to catch up on old times and for him to meet my sisters new boyfriend.  At the last minute her boyfriend could not make it because his son was not having a good day, but dinner was nice just the same.  We caught up on what has been going on in all our lives and what our plans were for the future.  Cindi has decided that when/if she gets married Kevin will give her away since my dad is no longer around to do it.   Since I don’t plan on ever getting married, that won’t apply for me.

It has been a few days since I posted, and a bit has gone on that I have not had time to write about it.  I am going to break it in to several posts just to keep things orginized.  This post is going to be about this site.

 I am again being a pisces.  I am considering changing the layout already.  I have looked through a few themes, but so far I really have not found one that calls to me.  I am played around with editing this one, but my php skills are lacking and I have not done html in years so I think that is going to be more time consuming then it is worth.  I think I might have a custom theme made just for me.  Something with an Ancient Egyptian flair.  But I know that will be a bit costly, so I will wait a bit before I really decide.Â
