Posted by Staci in : General Ramblings , add a commentSo last night I went to see LUST play live. It has been ages since I partied with those guys. I missed seeing them all and having a filthy time with all my friends. My sister, her boyfriend, and 2 of our other good friends went out with me. We went to dinner first and then out to Tempe for the show. It was great as usual. A little ackward at first, but once the drinks started flowing and the band started rocking it was like the last 6 months just faded away. I felt like part of the group again if only for a little while.Â

The Sun to seafarers always means hope,
when they ferry across the fishes’ bath
till the horse of the sea brings them to harbour.Key words: Success, Hope, good health, happiness, optimism, confidence.Divination Message: most often indicates victory, or the promise of victory. Also a time of hope, safety, and happiness.
Message from Stone: This is a positive time with reason for hope. Allow fear and uncertainty to fade away as the light of the sun brings hope for clarity for the future. No matter how dark and clouded life gets, when the new day begins, there is a shift and nothing remains the same as it was.  Your dreams are realized and all problems dissipate into the mist. Success is possible in all relationships, both professional and personal.

Hardship lies heavy on the heart,
Yet oft to the children of men
It becomes Nonetheless a help and a healing,
If they heed it in time.
Anglo-Saxon Rune Poem Verse:
Need is narrow on the chest —though worths it oft to men’s children
To help and heal however—if they listen to it early.
Key words: Necessity and constraint. Patience.
Message from the stone:
The stresses and hardships of life can be a sign that change is needed. If this sign is acted upon the changes can lead to inner strength, growth, determination, and resilience.
Divination Message:
Continuous effort and paitence is required to overcome hardships.
I drew this stone yesterday morning. The same day I unprotected my work vents. I contemplated the meaning of this stone and the stresses going on in my work enviroment.  The message shows me that if I can cope with the stress and hardship, and learn from it going forward, there will be better times ahead. .Â

Posted by Staci in : Casting Stones , add a commentThere are 4 poems dating back to ancient times to describe the runes. There are several different translations for the poems but the websites I researched online did not list who did the original translation for me to provide credit back to. The key words are from several sources as well,  which is the norm with divination tools.  The  message from the stones are based on my interpretation of the poems, the keywords, my feelings, and my thoughts. Please forgive me if the dialog created from my head resembles anything else in print. Since I draw my knowledge from a number of sources, I know that my demented ramblings, might come close to what others have said, read, or heard.Â

Posted by Staci in : Casting Stones, General Ramblings , add a commentFor a number of years I have collected and used Tarot cards for focus, clairfication, and insight to my own emotions and possible challenges. I decided to explore the world or Runes as well. I have read over a few books and websites and while I have learned a lot I know I have a lot more to learn.Â
I am going to start my Tarot card of the day again and I am going to add a Rune of the day as well. I know I won’t have time to do both everyday, and some days I won’t have a chance to do either, but I really feel the desire to get back in to the world of divination.Â
A Quiz July 21, 2006
Posted by Staci in : Quiz Results , add a commentYour power is: Transformation
Explanation: Unlike everyone else you can change your body materia and transform into anything (e.g. an animal). This can be used in good purposes for infiltrating evil headcuarters or adjust your physical abilities by transforming and therefor do better in battle. If turned to the evil side, a transfomer could manipulate the “good guys” by looking like their loved ones and break them down.
As a person you are dissapointed with life. You have not so many interests anymore and has become depressed. Of course you can be happy, but your happiness subsides quickly and don’t last very long. You isloate yourself from people since you think they would only hurt you, but some part just wants someone equal who understands the pain. When you transform it gives you freedom and you can be anything but yourself. You often pity yourself but don’t let people come near and know what’s going on with you. But the thought of opening up and risking being betrayed is too strong and intimidating to even try.
Negative aspects: You carry much hate to the world and yourself and in the long run this could lead to dangerous thoughts (suicide/cutting/killing) though the last one is least likeable since you would probably just have too much guilt.

Fun with good friends July 17, 2006
Posted by Staci in : General Ramblings, It's in the Cards , add a commentSo on Friday I went out with my friends Tanya and Erika. We just went to Tanya’s house and had a few drinks, but it was a blast. We laugh, joked, complained about work, and planned our next girls weekend. The hotel is booked and we are all looking forward to it.
On Saturday I went to see Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers with Michelle, her husband, and her friends Rachal, Chris, and Drew. We all had a blast. I only knew one song of theirs, but the concert was great. The band has a lot of energy and enjoys getting the audience involved in the songs. It was great. I am going to have to borrow the cds from Michelle to listen to them a few more times before I buy the songs for my ipod. The have a lot of good drinking songs and they are all fast paced and fun loving.Â
Sunday I did the usual. I went to the Stardust Country Bar and played poker. We all had a lot of fun. I did not make it to the final table this time, but I took first place at the loosers/learners table. I actually put Eric out of the game. He took 2nd at the loosers table. Ever since the first night we played cards together and he knocked me out of the tournement, my goal has been to take him out in a heads up match. I did just that. We were the only 2 left at the table and the winner would get 10 points. I got those 10 points. *grin*
A few things July 16, 2006
Posted by Staci in : General Ramblings , add a commentSo it has been a few days since I posted.  I am going to do a brief blurb here to catch you all up and then maybe an additional post or two with more info.
Work - sucks. Not the job which is tough, but some of the people. More on this later in a password protected post.
My friends - are wonderful. I spent the weekend out and about with a lot of really nice people that I am proud to call my friends.
