Website stuff August 15, 2008
Posted by Staci in : Site Updates , add a commentOk some of you might have had access to an old forum I had put on here a few years ago. The point behind it was to keep in touch with co-workers once we started to move departments and jobs. We used it to plan our girls nights. That forum has now been removed. We all stopped using it, so I decided to just delete it. I can always re-add it if a need comes up.
I also took down the photo site I had up here for awhile. I had installed it to replace the Flickr album but it took up too much space so I never used it for anything. I think I will start using Flickr or another similar service in the future. When I do I will add a link to the photo album on this site.
I also re-enabled the site to allow new users to register themselves. I am still getting the same amount of spam that I was before so in order to make it easier for anyone who wants to comment I will just let anyone one register again. You will still need to be logged in to post.
Another overdue update May 18, 2008
Posted by Staci in : General Ramblings, Site Updates , add a commentSo it has been awhile again. I think I need to put a reminder on my Treo Calendar that I need to do at least on update a week.
Most of you might know that I didn’t go to Eugene after all. Financially it was not possible, so I had to scrap the plan. I am disappointed that I missed out on a trip that I had been planning on, but sometimes that is what you have to do when your family needs your financial support.
I am back on Weight Watchers and I hope to drop 24 pounds. I can’t believe I let myself gain so much back after it took me so long to loose the first time. I know the first 10 pounds sort of crept up on me but the last 14 are all my fault. So I rejoined last week and I hope to see some results soon.
Oh and I disabled the function that would allow people to register themselves to post on my blog. I was getting tons of fake registrations and at least 10 spam posts a day. If you would like to register just send me an email with what you would like your user name to be and I will create an account for you. I couldn’t think of any other way to cut down on all the spam post.

I consider them my online running club and I know with out their support I would not be where I am right now.
Photo Album June 25, 2007
Posted by Staci in : Site Updates , add a commentok so my original photo album page bit the dust. There was a code conflict that happened when I upgraded my wordpress software. I decided to use different photo album software that is stand alone from wordpress. There are now two links on the left side of the page for photos. One links to the www.dankinia.com/photos and you have to register to view it. The other links to my flickr.com album which anyone can view. I am going to gradually move pictures from flickr over to here, but not all of them. Just the best of the bunch. After all how many picutres of the same fish from the shark reef do I really need to display online? lol according to my nephew “all of them”

Posted by Staci in : Site Updates , add a commentWell I just discovered my photo page on this site is all messed up. I will try to get it fixed this week. If I can’t I will just add a totally stand-alone album and forget about the wordpress/flickr link up.

I will keep my thoughts and notes at the top, but there will be a link in the post to take you to my distance, times, and splits. I figured I would reduce the clutter on the page a bit. If you are interested in seeing the stats, just click the word “more” in the post.

Posted by Staci in : Emotions, General Ramblings, Site Updates , add a commentSo I get this expensive new laptop, and the darn thing hates this website. I can’t get it to load any of the pages that allow me to update the site. I am using my old one to post my exercise stuff. I am computer savy and I can’t figure out what the problem is. They are both running on the same wireless router, with the same internet connections, but this one connects to everything with out a problem, and that one is slower then dialup. I have turned off the firewall, removed norton which I hate and stopped the “automatic phishing” scan that it tried to do on every site I visited, and I still have huge problems getting to my own damn website. I can get it to view, but I can’t post or edit, or anything else from it. I am about ready to either take it to best buy and have them figure out why it is so damn slow, or just return the whole thing to the store and stick with this one. This one has its problems, it needs to have so much stuff deleted and some major updates, but at least I can access my website with it. I am about at the end of my rope with at 2k new toy that is really pissing me off!!!!!

Posted by Staci in : General Ramblings, Site Updates , add a commentOk I have added some pictures from my girls weekend to the Flickr album that is linked here. Feel free to check them out. Not all of them our up there, but quite a few are. I know I look horrible in a few of them, but I was told I was not allowed to creatively edit myself out of them. There are pictures from Erika’s camera that I was told not to look at, so I skipped them and they are not currently online. Once I have been told it is ok for me to look, I will edit and put them up as well. Also the hot tub pictures are not on here yet either. I should have them up on here later on if everyone agrees. Enjoy.
