Watchmen March 8, 2009
Posted by Staci in : General Ramblings , trackbackSo I went to see this movie. I had read the graphic novel so I knew what it was supposed to be about and I must admit it was better then I thought it was. I will say do not take children to see this. It is rated R for a reason.
I won’t spoil the fun, but Rorschach was awesome. The actor did a great job of portraying him and the voice was perfect. The rest of the cast was good as well. They stayed fairly true to the story and the only thing I really wish was that they had done more with the back-stories of the characters. They did enough so that anyone who has never read the book can follow the motives of the characters, and I know that they really didn’t have the time to add anything else in so I am not disappointed. The “comic with-in a comic” was taken out, but it is being released on it’s own DVD later this month. Since it was not really essential to the main story I really didn’t miss it at all.

Not sure if I’ll get to Watchmen before it is out on video or pay-per-view. That is where I have been watching most of my movies lately, just so much more cost-effective when you multiply theater prices times 4 and add the concessions.
